Wise Leaders Know When to Pause and Reflect
A word to the wise, wisdom comes with time. Wouldn’t it be nice if we were born with the bits of wisdom we learn over time?
What a great way to start life. Imagine all the personal drama and pain we could avoid. Envision knowing what experiences to pursue and what ones to avoid.
I always wondered what it would be like to go back in time with the knowledge I have now. How would things turn out?
Of course, there’s the paradox, if I brought the knowledge back in time, my decisions would be different. My experiences are not the same.
So would I still have that knowledge? It’s like a spatial time loop. Where’s Captain Picard when you need him?
Speaking of the famed captain, (I’m focused on the The Next Generation period, we don’t talk about the recent adventures in Picard) Jean-Luc, we could say was wise.
Yes, he made decisions, gave orders and lead from the front. But he was wise because he involved his crew.
Riker was at times…emotional. But Picard knew to listen to his Number One.
